In our search for a brighter red pigment, we initially came across a bit of a road block. One of the best red pigments available is the very toxic mineral Cinnabar. Our lawyer type friends figured that we couldn't stick enough disclaimers on blanks made from a mercury laced mineral so we had to keep looking... Ercolano red was the next best option and we absolutely fell in love with the bright red hues created with this Italian pigment. It's a warm and delightful red that is absolutely stunning when finished. It derives it's color from an iron infused clay and almost looks like it could be a stand in for dirt from Mars.

★★★★★Penchant 4A chameleon material, this blank is: from one angle gold ore; from another, silver ore; at a third, it is pyrite; and from another, it is all of these and more. Beautiful work, McKenzie Penworks. Great job guys. keep it up

★★★★★Darren KoeleSo many words to describe this blank; dazzling, spectacular, brilliant, are just a few to start the list. I only wish we could post pictures so I could see what others have done with this and other Diamondcast products. Maybe server space won't allow it. Think about it anyway, Tim. ;-)
